We teamed up with two artists in the SKIO Pro Community, Mr. Black and WAO, to host a remix contest for their latest collab “Funk Yourself”. We’re also extremely happy to announce a partnership with Push The Volume Records and one of the world’s leading EDM blogs, We Rave You. What does this mean for you? Contest entrants will have a chance to be noticed by the label, and the winning remix will be promoted to over half a million readers on We Rave You!
“Funk Yourself” has already been supported by top acts such as Hardwell, Fedde Le Grand, The Chainsmokers, FTampa, Michael Woods and more, reaching #18 on Beatport’s Electro House Chart in just the first week after release. With high octane energy, heavy synths and a driving beat, Mr. Black and WAO layered vocal snippets into this track to fuse the club-setting with deep house sounds and distinct big-room elements.

Brazilian producer WAO collaborated with Tel-Aviv based Mr. Black after connecting on SKIO Music, and now they’ve decided to complete the circle and put the track up on our platform for you all to have some fun! So grab the stems and go “funking” crazy! Show these SKIO Pro’s and our new partners your style and you could win an exclusive premiere of your remix on the We Rave You blog to over 500,000 readers, support from both Mr. Black and WAO to over 200,000 fans, and of course a chance to pick up some fresh SKIO swag!

Rules

• The Contest Submission period begins at 12:00 PM Pacific Time (PT) on March 14 2016 and ends at 11:59PM PT on April 25, 2016.
• The winners will be selected by Mr. Black, WAO, Push The Volume Records and We Rave You during the judging period.
• The remix submissions are ordered according to the number of plays and likes the remix receives.
• Entrants may not make any changes to their remix after it is submitted.
• Only one entry per contestant.
• Open to residents of jurisdictions where lawful.
• Employees of Mr. Black, WAO, Push The Volume Records, We Rave You, SKIO Music and related parties are ineligible.
• Odds of winning depend on number of entries received, artistic and technical merit of entry judged by subjective criteria.
• YOU MUST CORRECTLY ANSWER A SKILL TESTING QUESTION TO CLAIM A PRIZE.
• NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
