‘Emerging artist’ has never defined a producer so well as it has for UK up-and-comer, Artifact. Not only is he emerging on the dance music scene, but he’s also emerging and evolving into his own style and sound. Coming from a background in metal, Artifact blends elements from his past into his techno beats of the present: “certainly the way metal breaks down and then picks up again a few times across a track, I like to do that with my stuff, using the rhythm of my bass to drive a song and create movement…”
