Red Bull Records Remix Contest – SWIDT ‘312’

Coupled with the internationally-acclaimed work lead producer SmokeyGotBeatz has been harvesting with Hit-Boy, Jay Rock and Kendrick Lamar over the last year and half, SWIDT have just wrapped their hands around ‘Best Urban/Hip Hop album at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards. It’s Smokey, SPYCC, INF, Boomer-Tha-GOD, JAMAL and AZA’s ‘312’ next play, and they’re opening up a studio session for you to leave your mark on.

On May 13, SWIDT released their debut album SmokeyGotBeatz Presents SWIDT vs EVERYBODY recorded at Red Bull Studios Auckland through their own independent label. Showcasing the crew’s skills as rappers, singers and producers, and featuring appearances from US rap royalty Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Audio Push, Isaiah Rashad, Ganxsta Ridd, King Lil G, MC Eiht, Blaison Maven, Hit-Boy, Bushwick Bill and New Zealand’s own Aaradhna and David Dallas, it’s a concise, atmospheric record that suggests the feeling of Onehunga and the West Coast

coming together as one.

Grabbing us by the mouth was ‘312,’ a saucy cut where SWIDT exposed high energy and the memorable Onehunga bus route. The crew have offered up the chance to put your spin on ‘312’ and walk away with the brand new Native Instruments Maschine Jam thanks to Rockshop, a day in Red Bull Studios Auckland, and a years supply of WINGS.
